The company was established in 1993, and is mainly involved in particularly complex civil engineering projects in the fields of:

The company is managed by Mr. Noam Goren, who holds 50% of its shares, the remaining 50% being held by Hofrey Hasharon of the Covenant Group.

Since its establishment the company has carried out dozens of projects, and has built bridges and intersections throughout the country. In recent years, with the development of the field of tunneling, Linom has been building tunnels for the Trans-Israel Highway and for complex Israel Railways projects.

As of 2008 the company has controlled 50% of the shares of Typhoon, a marine works company with an unrestricted contractor classification in the ports branch. This field is relatively new to the company, and is another unique and complex aspect of civil engineering.

The company has a large and highly experienced engineering array, enabling it to carry out projects that combine planning and implementation in a finished product for the client.

The company has unrestricted contractor classification in the bridging branch (300 C5), contractor classification for roads and development work (200 C4), and contractor classification for the construction branch (100 C2). The company also has a recognized contractor's license to carry out government work, for all the contractor licenses it holds. Its subsidiary Typhoon has an unlimited port contractor’s license (600 C5) and a recognized contractor's license for government work in the field of ports.
